The breakfast was very good and the bar food was very good.. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The location was in walking to other restaurants.

I had a wonderful stay at Lydons Lodge, made truly special by the exceptional customer service. As a family-run business, it has a genuinely warm and attentive approach that makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The staff were absolutely amazing - Olga, John, and Lisa went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The food was outstanding throughout my stay. The fish at dinner was especially delicious - compliments to the chef for such a beautifully prepared dish. In the morning, the porridge was the perfect start to the day and really set me up for everything ahead. My room was incredibly comfortable, providing the ideal space for a great night’s rest. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lydons Lodge to anyone looking for a relaxing, welcoming, and high-quality stay.

Honestly, I would be picking at straws to find anything I didn’t enjoy about my stay. If I had to mention one very small point, it would be that a small bottle of water in the bedroom might have been a nice added touch. That said, this really wasn’t an issue at all as there was easy access to tap water, so it didn’t impact my stay in any meaningful way. Overall, everything was excellent.

A wonderful welcome. Very helpful staff. Amazing dinner on the Sunday evening (one of the best meals we have eaten). Super position. Comfortable, quiet room at the back of the hotel. What was there not to look.

The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. The staff were the friendliest I ever encountered in my 50 yrs of staying in hotels and made my Birthday weekend experience very welcoming which made up for all the rain we got. I left a good tip for the staff to show my appreciation as was only fair.
